The short version

FMAC sets two cookies, both strictly necessary to operate the service you asked for. We use no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking cookies.

That is why there is no cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and showing a consent dialog that offers no real choice would be theatre.

The cookies we set

  • fmac_session — keeps you signed in. Contains a random token and nothing else; no personal data is stored in the cookie. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure in production, and it expires after 30 days.
  • fmac_pending_draft — set only if you begin an advert before creating an account, so your vehicle details survive registration. Signed to prevent tampering, HttpOnly, and cleared as soon as the draft is saved to your account. It expires after 7 days.

If that changes

If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent before it is set, and this page will say so.
